You might wonder why we’re just flat out telling you exactly how much things cost and what we’re spending. Or why we’re documenting this for you in the detail that we are and why you can always ask us to fill in more details whenever you have questions!

I hope sometime after our house is built we can break down all our costs for you. I think it’s really helpful for people to know what things really cost so you know it’s achievable or how much to have saved to tackle a home build, a land purchase, land clearing, starting a business like this or managing a land loan, refinancing (something we’re hoping to do once the house is built to convert our land loan into a traditional mortgage!).

Also, maybe you’re like us and once you see how much things cost to hire out you may feel motivated, like we do, to tackle it yourself! Watch some videos, call in friends for help or figure out a creative work around.

We are firm believers that there is room for all of us to succeed. Helping one another by being transparent and laying it all out step by step for you to follow and learn with us is one little thing we can do to help!
